We declare SUNDAY, January 15th, 2017 as a Day of Fasting & Prayer for the Life of Chicagoland.

We are alarmed by the more than 700 homicides in Chicago during 2016.  

We are alarmed by the 21,511 abortions in Cook County during 2014. 

We are alarmed by injustice, brokenness & spiritual apathy in our area.

We are alarmed by the overall state of the Church in our nation.

We are sounding the alarm and calling a fast for the Church in the Chicago area. We will be united as citizens of the Heavenly Kingdom and as those who pray in the name of Jesus.

Our humble posture is that of 2 Chronicles 20:3-4 (NIV) which states,

“Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the Lord, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. The people of Judah came together to seek help from the Lord; indeed, they came from every town in Judah to seek him.”

We are asking every sincere Christ-follower in the Chicago area to Fast and Pray (to their greatest medical capacity) on Sunday, January 15th, 2017 and if possible to participate in the Pray Chicago Prayer Summit that evening in person or by watching online.
